China’s
Heritage Trail
Trace China’s soul: imperial relics in Beijing, the Silk Road legacy of Xi’an, Guilin’s poetic landscapes and Shanghai’s fusion of colonial and modern.
China’s Heritage Trail
The Heritage Trail spends real time in each place. Four days in Beijing allow for the Forbidden City, the Great Wall, the Summer Palace, the Lama Temple and the hutongs without rushing.
Xi’an adds a shadow-puppet show and a hot-pot dinner to the Terracotta Warriors; Guilin trades the big cruise boats for a bamboo raft at Xingping; and Shanghai closes with Zhujiajiao water town and the Bund.
