Splendours of
China by Rail
Fourteen days across China by high-speed rail — imperial Beijing and Xi’an, the pandas of Chengdu, the Miao and Gejia villages of Guizhou, the Longsheng terraces and the Li River.
Splendours of China by Rail
China’s high-speed rail network is one of the great travel experiences of the modern world, and this journey uses it as the thread that ties the country together. Between the famous cities it reaches places few visitors see: the ancient towns and minority villages of Guizhou.
From the Forbidden City to papermaking in a Miao village, it is a journey of contrasts — imperial grandeur, rural traditions and some of China’s most beautiful landscapes seen through the train window.
