China’s classic triangle at an unhurried pace — five days in Beijing, the Terracotta Army and Banpo in Xi’an, and Shanghai with an optional day in Suzhou.
Beijing · Xi’an · Shanghai
This is a chronological journey through China’s history, from the 5,000-year-old Neolithic village of Banpo to the imperial palaces of Beijing and the modern skyline of Shanghai.
With five days in Beijing and travel between cities by high-speed rail, the pace allows each place to be absorbed rather than simply visited.
